Henry Carroll Prestwood

Henry Carroll Prestwood of Flynn, Texas was born August 6, 1939 in Houston, Texas to parents, Erah Elizabeth (Buchanan) and Henry Clay Prestwood. He died December 3, 2023 at his home. He moved to Flynn from his long-time residence at Pt. Bolivar, Texas.

He worked for Armco Steel in Houston for many years prior to owning and operating his own air conditioning company, Adco Service. He was a 50+ year Mason and a Shriner. He was one of the organizers and an original firefighter of the Flynn Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Polly, two daughters, Lynne (Lance) Barton of Cleburne, Texas and Kelly (Rick) Conley of Hunt, Texas. He is also survived by two sisters, Diane Prestwood and Mary Ann Seiter, both of Houston, Texas, a special cousin, A. L. “Buck” Buchanan of Bryan, Texas and one grandchild, Katy Conley and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Vanetia Baptist Church on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 am with visitation at 10:00 am with pastor Louis Neyland officiating.
