Wanda Keith Hoogterp, 85, formerly of Flynn, Texas was called home to her Lord Thursday, August 27, 2015. Visitation and funeral services will be held Sunday, August 30 at Cozart Funeral Home starting at 2 pm. Burial will follow services at Clear Creek Cemetery. Her son, Roger Hoogterp, will be presiding over the services. Funeral services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Wanda Keith Cox was born in Mart, Texas on March 30, 1930 to her parents Marvin Douglas and Lula Mildred (Chaunfield) Cox. She was married to the love of her life for 65 years, Jack Roger Hoogterp. She was one of the founding members of the First Baptist Church of Flynn. She loved her extended family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Flynn. Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and family meant the most to her in the world. The family is especially grateful for the staff at Serenity Gardens for their loving care to her in the last year of her life.
Wanda Hoogterp is survived by her children: Roger and wife Dianne Hoogterp, Keith and wife Sandra Hoogterp, Pam and husband Mark Schuhsler; 10 grandchildren: David Hoogterp, Michael Hoogterp, Eric and Susan Scheiner, Jeremy and Jennie Scheiner, Justin and Jamie Scheiner, Jake and Laci Hoogterp, Sean Harrison, Brook and Warren Martin, Kelsey and Kent Byers, Emily and Heath Baker and 7 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Fulton.
