Urda Lee Lincecum

Urda L. Lincecum, age 83, of Normangee, passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services will be on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny. Larry Grimes, a close family friend, will be officiating.

U. L. was born in Colorado City, Tx. on January 24, 1935 to G.W. and Dorothy (Hudson) Lincecum. He grew up in the West Columbia area where he graduated from High School in 1954. He met and married the love of his life, Minnie (Lewis) on June 12, 1958. She preceded him in death in 2014.
U.L. worked for 37 years for Dow Chemical before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he and Minnie were blessed by being able to travel to many wonderful destinations throughout the world.

The one thing that made U.L. happy, and he worked his entire adult life at, was caring and providing for Minnie. The sun rose and set on her! He was also involved in Rotary Club in Sweeny and a member of First Baptist Church of Old Ocean.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his son Mark and wife Phoebe (Crouch) Lincecum and their son Nash Lincecum of Normangee. He also leaves behind a Sister In Law Mary Jo Nolen and a brother In Law Bill and wife Clare Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be Richard Chaffin, Bruce Stanford, Charlie Crouch, CE Lowrie, Colby Lowrie, Chance Lowrie and Tim Pettigrew.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made, in honor of U.L., to Union Baptist Church Building Fund PO Box 216 Normangee, TX or Hospice Brazos Valley 502 W. 26th ST. Bryan, TX.
