Richard Earl Shuff

Richard “Ricky” Shuff, 73, of Hilltop Lakes passed away Monday, September 12, 2011. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Hilltop Lakes Chapel Brother Tony Taylor will be presiding. Services have been entrusted with Cozart Funeral Home.

Richard Earl Shuff was born in Houston, Texas on June 8, 1938 to the parents William Weart and Velma (Hirsch) Schuff. Richard was married to Alberta C. Wong and was also formerly enlisted in the United States Air Force. Ricky was well loved by his fellow co-workers as the Business Representative for the Heavy Equipment Union for Operating Engineers. After he retired to the Hilltop Lakes community he became very active with his Golf Club Association. He was a Past President of the Men’s Golf Association at Hilltop Lakes and he placed first in the Club Camp First Flight in 2011.

Richard was preceded in death by both parents William and Velma Shuff; and his brother Rufus B. Shuff.

Survivors include his wife Alberta “Bert” Shuff of Hilltop Lakes; his son David L. Shuff and wife Jodi of Shreveport, LA; and their daughter Olivia Shuff; his son-in-law Stuart Richard and wife Janelle of Honolulu, HI; and their children Tyler, Taylor Ann, and Troy Richard.
