Paula Marie Wright

Paula Marie Wright, 66, of Normangee, Texas passed away on April 20, 2024. She was surrounded by love from her friends and family. Paula was born June 30,1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. When she was 43 years old she moved from Kansas City to Normangee, Texas. As she lived out her years in Normangee she made an impact on others. Paula could be hard-headed and act tough but she really was like a big squishy teddy bear that everybody loved. She Gained the respect of others, gained many friends and was known by many as Momma.

She didn’t talk much but when she did she made sure you could hear her. Anyone that knew Paula knew she had a sweet tooth and she kept quite the supply on hand. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed sports in general. To say she was overjoyed about a second super bowl is an understatement.

Paula fought the good fight with COPD the last ten years of her life. She loved God and she loved her family and friends. She didn’t have much but if you needed help, she would be there for you, sometimes to a fault. Paula was ready to go be with her sister, Sue and her Mom, so she left this place after much love and good byes. She will be greatly missed.

Paula was preceded in death by both her parents, William C. Wright and Mattie M. Odam, brother, James D. Wright, Sister’s Cynthia L. Wright and Susan E. Coller (Randy Collier)

She is survived by her brothers John M. Wright (Linda Wright) , Gary L. Wright, Kenneth R. Wright (Jolene Wright) and her sister, Ruth A. Gilliland (Jack Gilliland), Son Christifer M. Wright and Daughter Stephanie M. Wright.

We will celebrate Paula’s life Friday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m. at Cozart Funeral Home, 220 Heath St. Normangee, TX 77871. If you would like to share about Paula, there will be an opportunity to do that.
