Odis P. "Mike" Ellison

Odis P. “Mike” Ellison Jr., age 80, originally of Normangee, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 10, 2018. A time for the family to receive friends will be Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Cozart Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hopewell Cemetery.
Mike was born in Normangee to Odis P. and Mary Olive (Bennett) Ellison Sr. on February 20, 1938. He grew up in Normangee and was very successful in all sports at Normangee ISD. He later became a Baptist minister serving the Lord with a prison ministry in Huntsville and surrounding areas.
Mike leaves behind a daughter Rebecca Ann Ellison of Houston, a sister-in-law Pat Ellison of Buffalo as well as two nephews Jason and Jack Ellison II. He was preceded in death by a brother Jack Ellison.
