Melba Loraine Maddox

Melba Loraine Maddox, 77, of Hilltop Lakes passed peacefully at home November 1, 2015 surrounded by loved ones. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11 am at the families’ residence. Funeral services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home.

Melba Maddox was born in Borger, TX July 7, 1938 to her parents Guy and Ruth (Sangster) Maddox. She was a Registered Nurse and later became a Nurse Anesthetist. Melba was very compassionate and helped her patients with end of life treatments. She was an avid Bridge player and very talented crossword puzzle solver. Melba had a talent for art and loved to read all day long. Melba was also an animal lover and had many dogs over the years, never met a stray she didn’t like. She loved her family and was a great Aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents Guy R. and Ruth Maddox; and her sister Myrna Fay Maddox.

She is survived by her sister, Loretta Franks; a brother, Monty Maddox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
