Karen Fay Dancey, 75, of Hilltop Lakes, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, in Bryan, Texas. Memorial Service celebrating the life of Karen will begin at 12 noon, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Hilltop Lakes Chapel with Wayne Barrett, Pastor, officiating. Cremation services are in the care of Cozart Funeral Home.

Karen was born on June 8, 1946 in Mountainair, New Mexico to John and Fay Hendrick Albin. She married the love of her life, Tommy Loyd Dancey, while he was in the service in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Together they had two sons Mitch and Donny making their family complete. Karen was a piano and organ teacher for years. She played for South Avenue Baptist Church in Pasadena for thirty years. She was employed with Deer Park ISD for twenty years. Karen adored her grandchildren, Sara, Stacie, Tyler, and Genna; and her great grandchildren Ayden, Levi, Asher, and Ace. She was very involved with her BKS Sorority attending field trips and luncheons, Wednesday Bingo, water aerobics.  When Tommy and Karen moved to Hilltop Lakes she fell in love with her new home immediately.

She is survived by her husband, of 56 years, Tommy Dancey; her sons Mitch and wife Ann Dancey, Donny Dancey; her brother Johnny Albin; her two nieces, Elizabeth, and husband Kyle Doperalski, and Lynn Albin; her very close cousin whom Karen considered as a sister, Patsy Haynes; her beloved grand and great grandchildren, Sara, Stacie, Tyler, Genna, Ayden, Levi, Asher, and Ace.
