Jimmy Paul Evans

Jimmy Paul Evans, 55, passed at his home Sunday, April 26, 2015. He was surrounded by family and loved ones when the Lord called him home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, April 29, at the Cozart Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Wealthy Cemetery.

Jimmy Paul Evans was born in Madisonville, TX on February 10, 1960 to his parents Rev. Billy Evans and his wife Francis V. (Biddle) Evans. Jimmy was an outdoorsman of all kinds. If the door was open he was out it, running in the outdoors. He was a skilled fisherman, hunter and loved to camp outside under the stars. Jimmy was a talented chef and BBQ’er cooking for family and friends just to get them together for fellowship. He was a devoted member of Iola Worship Center and a mentor to numerous nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Billy Hugh Evans; and a brother, Gary Alan Evans.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cindy Cook Evans; his mother, Francis Evans; a son, James Robert Evans and wife Trish; a daughter, Amber Leigh Cameron and husband Robert; four brothers, Billy Dale Evans and wife Joyce, Donnie Lynn Evans and wife Jolene, David Michael Evans and wife Dawn, and George Allen Evans and wife Lisa; 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
