Jeanne Winn

Jeanne Winn, 85, of Marquez passed away Saturday, September 1, at the Madisonville Care Center. Visitation was held Monday, September 3, from 5 to 7 pm at the Cozart Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 4, at Cozart Funeral Home at 1 pm. Burial followed at the Clear Creek Cemetery. Bro. James Sartor was there to preside over the services.

Margaret Jeanne Shipp was born to her parents Cullen and Edith (Teel) Shipp on October 14, 1926 in Groesbeck, TX. She graduated high school and married Ted Weldon Winn. Jeanne loved to cook and crochet in her spare time. She also made clothes for her family. Lifelong homemaker she loved to take care of her family.

Jeanne Winn was preceded in death by both of her parents, Cullen and Edith Shipp; also preceded by one brother and a sister.

She is survived by her husband Ted Winn of Marquez; a son Richard Winn and wife Teresa of Bryan; two daughters Georgia Forfhey and husband Robert of Fort Worth, and Patty Lowe and husband Dennis of Austin; a sister Ruthie Lee and husband Tommy of Hilltop Lakes; seven grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
