Jacquita Wade

Jacquita Wade, 82, of Normangee passed away Sunday, October 9, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Normangee, Thursday, October 13, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home.

Jacquita was born August 19, 1929 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Joe and Oakley Macon. She married T. B. Wade April 9, 1947 and has lived in Normangee since 1962. Mrs. Wade loved living in the country, she always had a garden growing, helping to work the land and was a pretty good fisher also. Jacquita had a soft spot in her heart for dogs feeding and housing any stray she could find. She was very active and always had a helping hand for a friend or neighbor.

Jacquita was preceded in death by both of her parents and five of her brothers, Larry Macon, Darwin Macon, Clarence Macon, Lonnie Macon, and Odell Macon.

She is survived by her husband T. B. Wade of Normangee; a son Marty Wade of Austin; daughter Shirley Bonds and husband Melvin of Normangee; two brothers Joe Macon and Marlin Macon both from Austin; two sisters Mary King of Corpus Christi; and Frances Hartsfield of Kennedy, TX.
