Hubbard Ray Henry

Hubbard Ray Henry passed away at his home in the Macy Community, Brazos County, Texas at the age of 80 years. Visitation will be held Friday, October 3, at Cozart Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, at 2 pm in the Cozart Funeral Home. Bro. Johnny Gierisch will preside over services. Burial will follow at the Manning Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home of Normangee.

Hubbard Henry was born to J B and Myrtie Batson Henry on September 29, 1934 in Madison County. He served in Law Enforcement with the Bryan Police Department and Texas A&M University Police Department. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gospel music and writing gospel songs. Hubbard also enjoyed gardening, riding horses and mules, and hunting with his coon dogs and he loved watching Aggie Football and the Astros.

He was preceded in death by his parents J B and Myrtie Batson Henry; three sisters Corine Henry Walker, Maureen Henry Steinhauer, and Dorothy Henry Blanc; and two brothers, Dearl Henry and Audie Henry.

Hubbard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mayge Williams Henry; one daughter, Cindy Henry Broaddus and her husband Mitchell of College Station; three granddaughters, Alyssa Broaddus Davidson and husband William of Bryan, Casey Broaddus and Rachel Broaddus of College Station; one sister Lois Henry Hodges of Normangee; one brother Billy Ross Henry and wife Lenora of Huntsville; four sister-in-laws Martha June Williams and Euwyn Williams Pegues of Normangee, and Larue Williams Beamon and husband Jerry of the Macy Community, and Lola Poteet Williams of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manning Cemetery, 21237 Old Bundick Rd. Hearne, TX 77859.
