Frances Jo Donahoe, 64, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Fairfield Hospital. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 24, at the First Baptist Church Flynn from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 25, at 2 pm in the First Baptist Church Flynn. Bro. Dee Black and Bro. Rob Rolison will be presiding over the services. Burial will follow at the Bethesda Cemetery. Funeral services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home of Normangee.
Frances Jo Bates was born on October 17, 1951 in Madisonville, TX to her parents Joe and Dorothy (Swallow) Bates. Frances was married to Kenneth Duane Donahoe on March 18, 1972. She is a lifelong resident of Flynn, TX and was an active member of the First Baptist Church Flynn. Frances enjoyed being in the outdoors and was an avid fisher. She loved to play games with friends and family, some of her favorites were 42, Canasta, and Bunco. Frances loved her family especially her grandkids. She was known as Granny to all the children of Flynn.
Frances was preceded in death by both her parents, Joe and Dorothy Bates; and her mother-in-law, Novise Rogers.
Frances is survived by her husband, Duane Donahoe; a daughter, Paula Donahoe Adams and her husband Donnie; a sister Linda Lambert and her husband Gordon; two sister-in-laws, Sherry Ferguson and husband Lance, and Eunice Rogers; a brother-in-law, Bobby Rogers; six grandchildren, Trey, Kenny, T.J., Taylor, Keelan, and Skylar; one great-granddaughter, Ambeurlynn; numerous nieces and nephews.
