Frances Louise Adams, 78, of Normangee passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, at Harmony Baptist Church, of Normangee, at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Don Swindol officiating. Burial will follow funeral at the Wealthy Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, May 20, at Cozart Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Frances Louise Huff was born October 23, 1932 to parents Arthur and Hilda Schroeder Huff. Frances married J.W. Adams on June 14, 1952 and together they enjoyed 57 loving years of marital bliss. She was a devoted and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A lifelong member of the Harmony Baptist Church she was very involved with the churches activities. She ran the Normangee Bait and Tackle shop for 26 years and still had time to take care her children and grandchildren. A caregiver at heart she took care of J.W. until he passed and many others along the way. She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. Adams and son Kenneth Adams; and both parents Arthur and Hilda Huff.
Frances is survived by her children; a son James Adams and wife Lisa of Normangee; two daughters Betty Hendricks and husband Kenneth of Hilltop Lakes, and Joyce Atkinson and husband Frank of Normangee; a daughter-in-law Vicky Adams of Normangee; two brothers Arthur Huff Jr. and wife Ruth and Gene Huff and wife June all of Bryan; a sister Bettie Huff Carroll and husband Lloyd of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother-in-law and wife, Cecil Adams and wife Irene, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and another great -grandchild due in July.
