Edna Freida Rustenbach was born January 4, 1927 in Galveston, Texas. She grew up in Cypress and married her husband Frank Fuchs at the age of fifteen. Frank William Bubba and Edna Fuchs were married 46 years and have been blessed with two children. Edna or Nannie as some knew her loved to sew, cook, dance and just enjoy life. She was an active member in the FUMC for many years and loved to attend Bible Studies. Mama Fuchs was devoted to her family and her friends and had a special fondness for Christmas and the cards she would get from everyone. During her sixteen month illness she has been a tower of strength. She took each day as it came and from the diagnosis she said that she was ready the minute The Lord wanted her. Her family rejoices today that she is in Heaven with a new body that is free of any pain. Her advice is to not weep for her but to remember something she said or did to make you laugh.
Edna was preceded in death by both her parents John and Emily Rustenbach; and her husband Frank William Fuchs.
She is survived by her children; daughter Mary Fuller and husband Calvin of Normangee; a son Frank William II Billy Fuchs and wife Debra of Brady; four grandchildren Melinda Swearingen and husband Rex of Normangee; Bo Emley and wife Jennifer of Flynn; Cody Fuchs and wife Leigh Ann of Brady; and Stormy Jo Fuchs of Brady and Hunstville; and four great grandchildren Cole Swearingen, Lariat Emley, Ty Emley, and Rustyn Fuchs; and one more on the way Charli Jo Fuchs due in November.
