Donald Lee Dobbs, 90, of Hilltop Lakes, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation from 3 until 5pm Sunday, December 27, at Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee. A Graveside Service is set for 11am Monday, December 28, at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee. The family asks that you please wear masks and follow social distance guidelines.
Donald was born January 15, 1930, in Minco, Oklahoma, to Lee and Norma Dobbs. He graduated from SFA High School in Houston, and was a retired plumber and the plumbers local union. Donald was a member of the Hilltop Lakes Chapel where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a Stephen Minister within the Stephen Ministries organization. He was also a dedicated member of the Hilltop Lakes Lyons Club and Emmaus.
Donald, a true handyman, enjoyed hunting and working in his shop. He could be described as a social butterfly and often had friends over for coffee.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Myrl; his parents; and his sisters, Juanita Donahue and Phyllis O’Neal.
Survivors include his son, Michael Dobbs and wife Olga; daughters, Donna Werlein and Debra Jozwiak; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
