Dennis Ray Wiliams

Dennis Ray Williams, age 74, of Normangee passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Bryan with his family at his side. A time for the family to receive friends will be Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Normangee United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at Normangee United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark McClanahan, pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery.

Dennis was born in Houston on June 8, 1945 to Floyd and Rosa Jean (Batson) Williams. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1964 – 1965. He worked as a private business owner in a few different areas and then retired to Normangee in 2000. He and the love of his life Mary (Floyd) Williams had been married for over 50 years.

Dennis was a member of the Normangee United Methodist Church and he had been the leader of the Friendship Sunday School Class for the last few years.

He leaves behind from his passing wife Mary, a son Christian and wife Juli Williams of Red Oak, Tx., a daughter Denise Bennett and Husband Tommy Wroten of New Waverly and his greatest loves his five grandchildren, Anne-Marie and husband Christopher Burchfiel, Casandra Wiliams, Taylor Rae Bennett, Luci Williams and Gracielle Williams. He also leaves behind a brother Floyd and wife Donna Williams of Plantersville.
