Deborah Jan Bass

Deborah Bass, 64 of Normangee was born to John Dawkins and Janette Hurt in Jasper, Alabama on March 25, 1951 and was called Home to the Lord on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Visitation to be held Friday, February 26, from 6 to 8 pm at the First Baptist Church Normangee. Funeral services are set for Saturday, February 27, at 2 pm in the First Baptist Church Normangee. Bro. Bob Shirley presided over services. Burial followed at Wealthy Cemetery.

Deborah worked and traveled with her late husband Bobby, whom she loved very much. She was a very loving, family oriented lady whose life was her kids and grandkids. She was very kind hearted and would go out of her way to help anybody. She was the “Ultimate Cook” and strived on keeping her house a welcoming home for anyone. She was known as “Grandma” to all kids! She loved holiday gatherings and always doing for people. When Deborah had time for herself, she enjoyed going to the casino or going for a weekend at the lake.

Deborah is survived by her Mother, Janette Hurt; Daughters, Jimette Aguirre and husband Willie, Shannon Potter and husband Mark, Kim Shaw and husband Jake, and Misty Bass ; Sons, Ricky Barnard and Robby Bass and wife Angie; Brothers, Joey Hurt, John Dennis Dawkins and Gary Dawkins; Sister, Mitzi Cirella; 27 Grandchildren; Katlyn, Blake, Jake, Ty, Trey, Brandon, Kelsey, Bradley, Colby, Blaine, Hayden, Derrick, Shanlyn, Justin, Courtney, Haley, Hunter, Austin, Dannielle, Daniel, Drake, Brandon, Tyler, Taylor, Kalynn, Brooklyn, and Traa; and 9 Great Grandchildren; Blakely, Heavenlee, Lizzie, Ava, Cason, Braxton, Paisely, Ethan, and Millie.
