Cora Lee Rotenberry, 97, of North Zulch, went to the Lord Tuesday, May 29. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, at the Harmony Baptist Church at 11 am. Burial will follow at the George Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, at Cozart Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm.
Cora Lee Keeble was born in Pickton, TX on May 22, 1915 to her parents Tresvant T. and Effie (Brown) Keeble. She was married to Weldon Eugene Rotenberry on May 20, 1936. Weldon and Cora lived in Houston and raised their family there. When they retired they moved to the Normangee area and worked their land. Cora Rotenberry was always cooking. She made sure you didnt walk away hungry. Cora was very active in the church, baking for fundraisers or sharing her faith with her family. Cora loved to sing, dance, and attend the Country Musicals held in the area. The most important thing was her family which she loved very much.
Cora was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband Weldon Rotenberry; a son-in-law Kenneth Lindsey; a sister Katherine Wilcox; and a brother Max Keeble.
Survivors include daughter Patricia Lindsey; brother W.T. Keeble; a sister Georgia Mae Thomas; grandchildren, Darla Dyke and husband Shane, Darcy Lindsey, Darren Lindsey and fiancé Jamie Bowers; great grandchildren, Miranda Geisie and husband Dain, Callie Truelove and husband Chris, Christopher Morris and wife Amanda, Dillon Dyke, and Darby Jordan and husband Craig; great great grandchildren, Kynlee and Haidyn Giesie, Harlee Truelove, Caden and Kasyn Jordan.
