Carol Jean Beard

Carol Jean Gassert Beard, 64, of Normangee, passed away on November 10th, 2022, after battling cancer.

Carol was born on March 28, 1958, to Dean and Loradell Gassert in Winfield Kansas.

In December 1974 Carol met Terry in typing class at CE King high school and as he would say it all started with a smile. They got married (his lucky day) on a sunny day (as Ness would say) on Oct 1, 1976. They spent the next 46 years together and had three amazing children, Jason, Cheryl, and Bradley.

Carol loved to spend time going on buggy rides at the Buck Acorn Ranch with Terry and Cheeky aka Scooby, reading, and spending time with family. She worked in the freight forwarding industry for 46 years, but the best of these times was at WTS, who was her second family.

Carol was predeceased by her father Dean, mother Loradell, sister Bonnie, and grandchild Kylie. She is survived by siblings Lenette and Mike, Husband Terry Beard, children Jason, Sarah (mother of Kylie, Taryn and Addy), Cheryl and significant other Stan, and Bradley and significant other Alicia. Grandchildren Taryn and Addyson, Kaden and Anessa, Aubrey, as well as Alex, Stephany, Caroline, and Fox.

Private Family Services will be held at Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee, TX.
