Carl Margarette Kemp Windsor

Margarette Kemp Windsor, age 99 of Huntsville, passed away at her home April 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Services will be 11:00am Friday, April 14, 2017 at Willowhole Cemetery Chapel in North Zulch, Tx with Rev. James Featherstone officiating.

Margarette was born in Zwolle, La. on December 17, 1917 to Woolam Ira and Mary Lela (Smith) Mooney. She married Carl Bryant Kemp on March 15, 1933 in San Saba, Tx. who preceded her in death and married J.D. Windsor on June 6, 1981 in Normangee, Tx. who also preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a son Glen L. Kemp, brother W. I. Mooney and two sisters Vida Miller and Betty Rawls.

Margarette was a member of Normangee First Baptist Church from 1968 – 2011. She owned and operated a Dry Cleaners in Normangee for 20 years. She served on several boards including the Election Board and was a member of the Normangee Historical Museum. Helping people and quilting was her passion.

Margarette leaves behind a son Carl A. and wife Kathy Kemp, daughter Catherine and husband Don Beal, as well as a sister, Virginia Bufkin. Also left behind are her greatest loves, her 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.
