Carl Brown

Carl Hahn Brown passed away peacefully at the age of 84 in the comfort of his home on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving wife Linda and stepdaughter Marsha when the Lord called him home. Visitation and Funeral services will be held at First Methodist Church of Normangee, in Normangee, Texas on Friday February 24, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am with Pastor Kelley Sexton officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 1907.

Carl was born in Gooding, Idaho on March 2, 1938 to John and Ruth (Arick) Brown. He loved music, singing, playing instruments, gardening, and woodworking. One of his greatest accomplishments was serving for his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army.  He was a member of  the American Legion Post 0127.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth; first wife Doris; and brother Clifton (Edwina)

He is survived by his wife Linda; two sons, Jim (Norma), Steve (Larissa); daughter, Cindy (Stephen) Zoeller: and stepdaughter, Marsha (Mike) Cooper; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Preston, Mattie, Zoey, Oliver, Emma, Mark, and Audrey; sister, Linda Harger; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
