Calvin Lane Oatis

Calvin Lane Oatis, 53, of Normangee, passed away Friday, January 18, at his home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 23, at Cozart Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 24, at 2 pm at Cozart Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery.

Calvin Oatis was born July 23, 1959 in Houston to his parents William and Mary (Robbins) Oatis. He was married to Vickie Parish May 13, 1977 she was the love of his life. Calvin was a Ranch Foreman for most of his life and enjoyed taking care of the livestock. He was a simple family man who enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, his father William Oatis and a brother Craig Oatis.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years; Vickie Oatis; three brothers Carlos Oatis and wife Wendy, Curtis Oatis, and Terry Jo Parish and wife Charlene; two sisters Carolny Neidner and husband John, and Cathy Rash and husband Ken; and a granddaughter Jessica Gilbreath.
