Buford Odell Morris, 94, of Normangee went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 8. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 10, at Cozart Funeral Home Chapel starting at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Glenn Connor will preside over the service with music by Bro. Wade Phillips. Burial will follow at the James Cemetery, Camp Creek. Visitation was held Saturday, June 9, from 6 to 8 pm at Cozart Funeral Home. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home.
Buford Odell Morris was born on April 8, 1918 to his parents Benjamin Taylor Morris and Martha Alice (Taylor) Morris. Buford was married to Gladys Mae Post on September 5, 1938. They were married 73 years last anniversary. Buford was a proud WWII veteran and has been a Mason for over 50 years. He was a family man and loved his children very much. Buford taught all his children how to fish and enjoyed spending time with all the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Gladys Mae Morris; three sons, Butch Morris and wife Carolyn, Jerry Morris and wife Jodi, and Eugene Morris and wife Nora; two daughters, JoAnn Neeley and husband William, and Robbie Kay Brown and husband Ronnie; a sister Louise Connor and husband Steel; 15 grandchildren, Ben Morris, Jarett Morris, Clint Brown, Zack Brown, Mike Gowen, Greg Neeley, Kevin Neeley, Jim Ed Neeley, Bill Neeley, Shelley Birchfield, Missy Parker, Jennifer Didericksen, Denise Hanson, Mandy Scott, and Melanie Abegglen; 30 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
