Betty Sue Beamon, 69, of Porter went unto the Lord Tuesday, July 17, she was surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, in Cleveland, TX on Friday, July 20, from 5 to 8 PM. Services will be held Saturday, July 21, at 10 AM at the Church. Brother Carl Williamson will preside over the services. Burial will follow services at the Macy Memorial Cemetery at 4 PM on Saturday, July 21. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home of Normangee.
Betty Sue Quin was born June 8, 1943 in Houston to her parents Walter Harvey Quin and Nellie Francis (Leslie) Quin. Betty Sue was married to James Richard Dick Beamon on September 29, 1961. They celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage. Sue had lots of hobbies; planting roses, painting, sewing, working at the church and worshipping the Lord. She was a devoted Sunday school teacher. Betty Sue had a passion to teach children and enjoyed watching them learn. Sue was a dedicated nanny and care taker for all in need. She loved being with her family whether on vacation or just family game night. Sue most enjoyed going with Dick to West Texas to the Ranch. They would work their land together and just relax outside.
Sue is survived by her husband James Dick Beamon; three sons Rick Beamon, Robert Beamon, and Bryan Beamon and wife Tonya; a daughter Jana Chaisson and husband David; two sisters Nellie Buford and Beverly Beene; sixteen grandchildren Heather, Joshua, Nick, Zach, Amber, Mallory, Jessica, Lexi, Ashley, Brandon, Allison, Ryan, Tyler, Taya, Dakota, and Mackenzie; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
