Bennie Lou Nixon

Bennie Nixon, 82, former Normangee resident, went to the Lord Tuesday, January 22, at Vista Continuing Care in Pasadena, TX. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, at Cozart Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm. Graveside services will be held Friday 2 pm at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee. Bro. Will Odom will preside over services. Services entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home.

Bennie Windsor was born on August 7, 1929 to her parents Tom and Dora Windsor. She was a high school graduate and enjoyed learning. Bennie was an active member of the Church of Christ all of her life. She loved animals raising and taking care of all types. She stayed active going to the Senior Center in Huntsville nearly every day. She was preceded in death by both parents; and two brothers, Noble Windsor and Melton Windsor.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Nixon and wife Janie, and Kerry Nixon; a sister Mary Ann Buice; three grandchildren Alisha Quinn, Laureen Matney, and Bobby Nixon; and a great granddaughter Shelby Nixon.
