Albert Travis Prochazka

Albert Travis “Cabbage” Prochazka, 74, of Normangee passed away Saturday, October 6, at the St. Joseph Regional Health Center Bryan. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 9, at 6 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Normangee, Bro. Richard Prather will preside. Services entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home.

Albert Prochazka was born May 11, 1938 in Caldwell, TX to his parents Albert and Robbie (Calvin) Prochazka. Cabbage, as most knew him, went into the Navy . After Cabbage left, he went to work for a road construction company as a supervisor for many years. Cabbage loved to tend to his vegetable garden. This led him to another passion of his wild bird feeding. Albert was preceded in death by both of his parents Albert and Robbie Prochazka; three brothers, Bennie Prochazka, Calvin Prochazka, and John Prochazka; and a sister Bobbie Vaura.

Albert is survived by his wife Sandy Prochazka; four sons John Gray, Charles Gray, Dean Wilson, and Mark Wilson; two daughters Amy Prochazka, and Margaret Prochazka; three sisters Angie Noey, Nancy Keller, and Becky Culp; 6 grandchildren , 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews .
