William Lee Neeley, Sr., age 73, of Normangee, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2017 with his loving wife by his side. A time for the family to receive friends will be Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cozart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at Willowhole Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Glenn Connor, officiating. 

Bill was born in Abilene, Tx. to James Alton and Willie Katherine (Walker) Neeley on August 11, 1943. He graduated from Normangee High School in 1961 where he met his wife of 56 ½ years JoAnn Morris. He worked for many years as a construction superintendent for several companies. 

Left behind from his passing is his wife JoAnn, four sons Bill Neeley Jr. and wife Mauricia of Willis, Greg Neeley and wife Linda of Magnolia, Kevin Neeley and wife Becky of Spring and James Neeley and wife Sharnell of Houston as well as his daughter Shelley Birchfield of Conroe. He is also survived by two sisters Darnelle Oberpriller of Sealy and Doris Hardin and husband Gary of Canton and his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law Buford Morris, his son-in-law David Birchfield and brother-in law Ed Oberpriller.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the love and kindness his nurse Catie McCune showed Bill.
