Virginia Ann Dahl Elliff, 75, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother went to be with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, November 3, 2013. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, at 1 pm in the Hilltop Lakes Chapel. Dr. Tony Taylor and Rev. Ron Walter will preside over services. Burial will follow at the Winn Cemetery in Marquez, TX. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Virginia Ann Dahl was born in Houston, TX on November 16, 1937 to her parents Warren Curtis and Ada (Nelson) Dahl. She attended school in East Houston including Milby High School; she later graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1956. Virginia attended Texas Lutheran College. She worked as a geological draftsperson for several oil companies in Houston. She was married to Ronald E. Elliff on February 14, 1958. They had two sons born in 1961 and 1963 in Houston, TX. They then traveled to Libya in 1966 for husbands work and the third son born there in 1968. Ron and Virginia moved to Antwerp, Belgium in 1976 for two years. She started her own drafting business in 1978 and retired in 1994 when she and her husband moved to Galveston, TX. They later moved to Hilltop Lakes in 2003. She was an avid quilter like her mother and was a member of several quilt clubs. She had a great sense of humor and always befriended those she met.
She is preceded in death by her parents Warren Curtis Dahl and Ada Louise Dahl and her mother-in-law Pauline Easter Elliff and father-in-law Howard Elmer Elliff.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald Elmer Elliff; a sister Polly Smart with husband John; three sons; Rance Edward Elliff and wife Betty Lynn, Christopher Dahl Elliff and wife Elisha, and Neil Shannon Elliff with Amy Johnson; 9 grandchildren Ashley Damiani, Ryan Evan Elliff, Shane Dorsett Elliff, Alexander Chase Elliff, Nicholas Cole Elliff, Benjamin Andrew Elliff, Andrea Suzanne Elliff, Patrick Fisher Elliff, and Kaylie Shannon Klink-Elliff; 6 great-grand children Emma-Claire Joy Damiami, Rylie Eden Elliff, Josiah Michael Damiani, Olivia Faith Damiani, Judah Patrick Damiani, and Ezra James Elliff.
May she rest in peace after having brought much joy to her family, friends and all those she knew. She can now rest in His arms as the Angels sing their praises.
