Vickie Oatis
Vickie L. Oatis, 55, of Normangee, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Hospital Bryan. Visitation and Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 4, at 11 am at Cozart Funeral Home. Bro. Bob Shirley presided over services. Burial followed at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee.
Vickie Parish was born in Houston, TX on February 21, 1960 to her parents Sam William and Josephine (Harber) Parish. Vickie was married to the love of her life Calvin Oatis. She was a hard worker, always helping Calvin on the Ranch keeping up with the chores.
Vickie loved to be around friends and family whenever she could. She worked at BOBs Corner Grocery for many years. Vickie was an active person who enjoyed life to the fullest. We will miss you.
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Oatis; and her father, Sam William Parish. She is survived by her mother, Josephine Parish; a brother, Terry Parish and wife Charlene; Her best friend, Ricky Taylor; Nieces and Nephew, Georgia Lynn West, Chasity Hart, and Terry Joe Parish, Jr.; and also great nephews, Levi West, Tyler West, James Hart, Brett Hart, Johnathan Gabriel, Robert Gabriel, and Chris Gabriel.
It’s very sad you had to go so soon Aunt Vickie. You do not have to suffer any longer. You will be truly missed. We know you will be watching over all of us & We love you!
