Thomas Wayne Burke
Thomas Wayne Burke, 57, went to be with his Lord on January 15, 2014. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, in the Flynn Assembly of God Church from 11am to 1pm. Funeral services will begin at 1pm Saturday, January 18, with Pastor Rick Smith presiding over the services. Burial will follow in the New Church Cemetery in Edge. Cozart Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services.
Thomas Wayne Burke was born in Chatham, Ontario, Canada on August 20, 1956 to his parents Thomas and Frances (Ford) Burke. Thomas was a high school graduate and was raised on a farm. He enjoyed farming and raising his cattle. Living near the Great Lakes Thomas was always fishing. He loved to snowmobile and ice fish when he could. Later on he moved to the United States and went into the oil and gas industry as a pipe fitter.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Frances Dufour; a grandfather Orval Burke; a brother Terry Lee Burke and wife Christine; a niece Brenda Burke; a nephew Brian Burke and his children Ethan and Emma; and three aunts Fae Laird, Pat Winstead, and Joann Marshal.
