December 16, 1951 ~ March 2, 2011

Patsy Pierce Yokum, 59, passed away Wednesday, March 2, at her home at Hilltop Lakes. She was guided to the lord with her husband and close family friends at her side. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 12, at the Hilltop Lakes Chapel at 11:00 am with Fr. Luis Roncancio as the celebrant. Rite of committal will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a Parish rosary said at 7:00 pm at Cozart Funeral Home. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home.

Patsy was born to the parents of Aubry and Mary (Luby) Pierce December 16, 1951 in Lexington, Mississippi. She graduated from college with a BA and was the Public Relations Director for her company. Mrs. Yokum lived at Hilltop Lakes for the past three years and was the Past President of the Leon County Republic Women’s Club. Patsy was an avid baker and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by both parents; Aubry and Mary (Luby) Pierce; and a brother; Aubry Pierce, Jr.

Patsy is survived by her husband; Gary Yokum of Hilltop Lakes; a son ; Jared Yokum of Highlands, TX; a daughter; Rosalyn Bothwell and husband Brad of League City, TX; three sisters Anne Fulton of Crossett, AK, Faye Byars of Silsbee, TX, and Beth Pierce of Metairie, LA; and a grandson Wallace Bothwell, she also had numerous nieces and nephews.
