Melvin Dean Rimmer

Melvin Dean Rimmer, 83, of Normangee passed away at his home Saturday, July 19. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.

Melvin was born in Oakland, California on October 22, 1930 to his parents Richard and Elva (Penrod) Rimmer. He served his country during the Korean War in the Army and the Air Force. Melvin was affiliated with the Assembly of God church. Melvin was a loving father who cherished Family. He lived by and loved his faith to the end. Melvin will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Melvin is survived by his son, Dennis Rimmer; a daughter, Tinya Holifield; a brother, Marion Rimmer; a sister, Merlene Hornish; six grandchildren, Sean Holifield, Stacia Holifield, Samantha Anderson, Jennifer Debbink, Jonathan Rimmer, and Katherine Rimmer; and 13 great grandchildren.
