Leslie Eugene Whitworth
Leslie Eugene Whitworth, 73, of Hilltop Lakes passed at his home surrounded by family Wednesday, April 17. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20 at 2 pm at Cozart Funeral Home.
Leslie Whitworth was born October 28, 1939 in Hobbs, NM to Eugene and Louise (Miller) Whitworth. He graduated high school and attended Texas Western, El Paso for three years. He joined the Marine Corps and reached the rank of Lance Corporal. Leslie worked in the oil fields of West Texas until he began working for Texaco internationally. While living in Hilltop Lakes, he retired. Leslie enjoyed golfing, fishing, a little poker, and above all his grandkids.
Leslie is survived by his wife Marguerite Whitworth; a son, Sam Whitworth and wife Natalie; two daughters, Beth Teofan and husband Terry, and Leslie Ann Sires and husband Craig; a brother Richard Whitworth and wife Sharon; a sister Patricia Bowers and husband Don; eight grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
