Kelly Denise Abernathy, age 55, of Flynn, TX went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at her home.

Kelly was born in Houston, Texas on March 19, 1961. Kelly was a very giving and loving person with a very kind heart. She loved traveling and was always up for trying something new. She found great joy in helping others.

Survivors include her husband Tom Abernathy, her mother Ophelia Walker and husband Clayton, a Son Logan Abernathy and wife Meredith, a grandchild Raine Andrew Abernathy, Step-Daughters Kathryn Jenkins and Karen McCoy, a brother Jay James and wife Tiffany and a niece Sarah James along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Flynn, Texas.

I have no words that will help nor to explain my own grief. Kelly was my best friend in high school. Thru thick & thin we were able to get each other thru the darkest & laugh thru the good days. Kelly will always have a special place in my heart.
