Juanita Griffin, 91, of Hilltop Lakes, passed away surrounded by loved ones Wednesday, March 28, at the St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Memorial services will be held Sunday, April 1, in the Hilltop Lakes Chapel at 3:00 pm. Juanita will be laid to rest in Westlawn Memorial Park near Borger, TX. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home.

Juanita Jewel Davenport was born November 4, 1920 in Sapula, OK. Juanita later married Al Sprague and had two loving children. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was in many Bridge groups. Juanita loved her family and her extended family she acquired when she married M. E. Griffin. She also loved to golf and plant flowers. She was also a member of the T 38 Aviation club.

Juanita was preceded in death by both of her parents Joe and Christine Davenport; and her daughter Nita Carlton.

She is survived by her husband, M.E. Griffin; a son Nelson Sprague and wife Barbara of Matthews, NC; a step-daughter Loretta Hazzard and husband Gerald of Houston; and five grandchildren Kelly, Jay, Staci, Leah, and Melissa; and 11 great grandchildren.

  6. Lucila, what a beautiful tbtiure to your Abuela! I will certainly be generous with my smiles today. I understand your sadness; I was very close to my grandmother who was full of smiles and laughter who died in 2001. She was my matron of honor in my wedding and held on to her life until she met my first baby, Maddie. She literally died the next day I still miss her and think of her every day. My heart is wrapped around you today!Darcy
