James P. Morris

James Morris passed away May 4, 2023 in Bryan, TX. There will be a visitation for James on Monday May 8, 2023 from 5-7pm at Callaway Jones Funeral Center in Bryan. Funeral services on Tuesday May 9, 2023 at 11am at Macy Memorial Chapel, 21293 Bundick Rd, Hearne, TX.

James passed away May 4, 2023 at the age of 86. He was born to Jessie Leroy & Mavis Imaree Morris. James learned at a young age how to work hard and provide for others. He met the love of his life whom he would marry and have three beautiful children. He had a great love of the outdoors he enjoyed hunting and fishing which allowed him to share that love with family. James would also never turn down a hand of poker. James will be remembered by all who knew him for his quick wit, funny jokes, and of course his love of Mumford basketball!

James was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lee Morris. His brothers Kenneth, JL, and Horace Morris. He is survived by his loving sisters Carol and Ruby. As well as his favorite brother in law Kendall. James will be dearly missed but will live on in the life and memory of his children James Phillip Morris Jr, James Lee Morris Sr and wife Kelly, and daughter Kimberly Thomas. Grandchildren Shawna Leonard, Sebo May, Dallyce Sims, Kayla Anderson, Justin Shannon, and James Lee Morris Jr. He has 8 great grandchildren as well as 3 great great grandchildren.
