Harold Lee Parker
Harold Lee (Pete) Parker Sr., age 90, of Normangee, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2019 at his home. A time for the family to receive friends will be Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10:00 – 12:00 at Flynn Assembly of God. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm also at Flynn Assembly of God with Pastor Rick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
Pete was born in Normangee to Marvin Lee and Ruby (Bottoms) Parker on May 15, 1929. He grew up in Normangee and left at the age of 22 to serve his country in the US Air Force. After the service he worked for 50 years for the Local 211 Pipe Fitters Union. He returned to Normangee in 1998. He and Mary Allen were married in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Marilyn Edge and a step-daughter Doris Owen.
He is survived by his wife Mary, two sons Robert Parker and Harold Lee Parker Jr. and two daughters Pam Shields and Joy Allen. He is also survived by a step-son Douglas Owen as well as a brother Bob Parker and a sister Audee Reed. He also leaves behind his fifteen grand children and 16 great grand children.
