Gladys Morris
Gladys Mae Morris, age 97, of Normangee, passed away on Sunday January7, 2108. A time for the family to receive friends will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Cozart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:00am at Cozart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Connor officiating. Interment will follow at James Cemetery at New Baden.
Gladys was born in Bryan, Tx. to Robert J. and Jessie Ray (Gray) Post on August 2, 1920. At age 18 she married the love of her life Buford O. Morris in Caldwell on September 5, 1938. He preceded her in death in 2012. She also was preceded in death by a son-in-law William Neeley and a grand daughter Angela Jean.
Gladys moved to Normangee in November of 1957 and attended Madisonville Christian Fellowship in Madisonville for the last 54 years.
Survivors include three sons Butch and Carolyn Morris, Jerry and Jodi Morris, Gene and Nora Morris. She also leaves behind two daughters JoAnn Neeley and Robbie and husband Ronnie Brown as well as 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and two sisters Maudell Cocking and Pansy Markert.
