Clarence Parr Jr.
Clarence B. Parr, Jr., 81, formerly from Hilltop Lakes, passed away Tuesday, May 21, at the Park Manor of Cypress Station. Graveside services were held Saturday, May 25, at 11:00 am in the Hopewell Cemetery. Pastor James Sartor presided over the services. Services have been entrusted to Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Clarence B. Parr, Jr. was born in Kossee Texas on December 11, 1931 to his parents Clarence Sr. and Delphi (Jones) Parr. He was married to Mozelle Parr who preceded him in death. He earned his GED and enlisted to the Air Force and served for many years. Clarence was a professional painter for Arlington School System. He was a family man always spending time with his three sons, one that preceded him in death. They would go on long summer vacations, and some were to Hilltop Lakes. He fell in love with Hilltop Lakes and upon retiring he moved in full time. Clarence was a tinkerer and loved to fix old cars. He would spend weekends elbow deep in the engines of classic cars. There wasnt anything that he couldnt fix or make better.
Clarence is survived by his two sons Vincent Parr and Walter Cox; a brother Wendell Parr and wife Linda; three grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
