Carolyn Elizabeth Weathers Wright, Age 84, passed into Glory on January 22, 2022. She died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Carolyn will be missed but not forgotten. She was an extraordinary woman of faith and lived life serving others. She enjoyed a passion for music to include a career of choir directing and teaching piano. She was born February, 7, 1937 in Chickasha, Ok. She met and married Dell Wright Sr in Pecos Tx and after raising 3 children in Houston, they retired to Normangee, TX and spent many wonderful years among friends.
Carolyn is predeceased by her loving husband, Dell Wright Sr of 62 years, her son Skip Wright (Dell Jr), her parents, Al & Alma Caperton, beloved Aunt and Uncle, Earl and Helen Hagar, and brother, Wayne Weathers.
She is survived by her son, Jamey Wright, daughter, Penny Hood, sister, Bernice Mellen, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Preservice Visitation will be held at 2 PM, followed by Services at 3 PM on Saturday, January 29, at First United Methodist Church in Normangee TX. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Services are in the care of Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee, Texas.

Carolyn was my first piano teacher in Las Cruces, NM. She was an inspiring woman and loved all her students. We had two recitals a year, one at Christmas time and the other in the spring. I first met her when I was in the first grade, fall of 1960. She is not forgotten.
